Spiritual Formation at CCCK

At Central, spiritual formation is more than a requirement—it’s part of the rhythm of campus life.
We believe faith grows in two directions:
  • upward through intentional time with God
  • outward through meaningful connection with others
That’s why every student participates in two weekly spiritual connections designed to help students pause, reflect, build community, and explore faith in authentic ways.

↑ LOOK UP Community Chapel

Every Wednesday, our campus pauses together for Community Chapel.

Chapel is a shared space for worship, reflection, conversation, and spiritual encouragement. Throughout the semester, students experience a variety of chapel formats including: worship gatherings; guest speakers; student stories and testimonies; panel discussions; practical teaching; conversations around faith and real life

Whether you have followed Jesus your whole life, are asking questions about faith, or are simply looking for space to pause and refocus during a busy week, chapel is designed to be a meaningful part of the student experience.

Find Your People

College was never meant to be lived alone.
In addition to Community Chapel, every student chooses a weekly connection path that helps them build relationships, grow spiritually, and engage in community beyond the classroom.
Students can choose between two options:
Small Group Path
Join a weekly small group led by students, faculty, or staff.
Small groups create consistent spaces for:
  • friendship
  • honest conversation
  • prayer and encouragement
  • Bible study
  • mentorship and accountability
Small groups are one of the most loved parts of spiritual life at Central because they help students find genuine community and supportive relationships.
Flexible Connection Path
Students who do not join a small group can participate in approved spiritual life gatherings throughout the week.
These opportunities may include:
  • local church young adult gatherings
  • worship nights
  • service opportunities
  • spiritual life events
  • campus discussions and special programs
This flexible option allows students to engage in ways that fit their schedules and interests while still remaining connected to the spiritual life of campus.

A Community That Grows Together

At Central, we know students come from many different faith backgrounds and experiences.
Some students arrive deeply rooted in their faith. Others are exploring Christianity for the first time. Many are simply looking for community, purpose, and people who care about them.
Our goal is to create spaces where students can:
  • ask honest questions
  • build authentic relationships
  • encounter Christ
  • grow in character and purpose
  • discover a faith that is lived out in everyday life
