Pre-Med

If you think you might want to become a doctor someday, pre-med is the path that helps you prepare for medical school. It’s not actually a major. Instead, it means choosing a major you enjoy while also taking the science classes that medical schools require, such as biology, chemistry, physics, and anatomy. As a pre-med student, you’ll also look for opportunities to learn about healthcare outside the classroom. These experiences help you understand what a career in medicine is really like while building the knowledge and skills you’ll need to apply to medical school after you graduate.
