Where you live is your home; the residence hall you move into at Central will become your home away from home. Your roommate will become like family. The resident directors are not parents, but rather adult friends who carry a certain responsibility for your well-being.
The resident assistant (RA) will be available to help students while they become accustomed to dorm life. The RA's role is to put students in touch with the privileges and responsibilities which are theirs and about which they might be in doubt. They also minister to the needs on their wing and are involved in student care.
For the safety of our students, all residents have an intrusion security system in place. At 12:00 midnight Sunday through Thursday and 1:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday, all residence hall doors are locked and the security system armed. First semester Freshmen only have "time in" at these times. This is part of our success studies program.
